Hi Everyone!
Ever since I could scribble, I've "painted." The walls in my house were a testament to my enduring love for painting and drawing. And so I went to school and for a BA in Studio Art. I have exhibited in various art shows and exhibits.
My medium of choice used to be oil paintings but I now dabble from oil painting to pastels to acrylics and block prints. Whatever helps me make the subject matter as expressive as I can basically.
I draw inspiration form my heritage and the environment around me. While I do tackle all subject matters portraits will always remain closest to my heart. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoyed creating them.
I love dramatic art. Bright colors and vintage-inspired are the cornerstone of my inspiration.
I vary in techniques for each piece. Sometimes I want to do 7 layers like the Flemish masters, sometimes I feel spontaneous and do a piece alla prima.
I don't really have a single medium I would choose over all others, but I am particularly partial to pastels. I always feel like I'm rendering a dream when I work in pastels.
